History of Constine Communities

Lawrence Constine, grandfather of the current owners, opened a "trailer court" in 1948 on the property where Woods & Fields West is today. This smaller "court" grew, was improved, and evolved into a real mobile home park, named "Owosso Trailer Park". The next generation, Dale and Lorraine Constine, became the owners and established a retail RV sales business there as well. Eventually, they dropped the RVs but added an excavating business and trucking company under their ownership.

The third generation purchased the business in 1988. Aggregate mining and an expanded trucking operation took effect at that time. The Krouse Road Community was developed during this period too. The names of the two Owosso Communities were changed to Woods & Fields Communities in January of 2000 to more accurately describe the properties.

In July of 2009, Constine Communities incorporated the three communties, the sales divisions and business office, becoming its own entity—a far cry from Grandfather Constine's little Trailer Court of long ago.
